Preparation before the procedure The procedure is preceded by a consultation, examination and planning. The patient follows the doctor's recommendations regarding: medications taken, smoking and alcohol consumption, routine hair care and eating habits. The hairline is determined, the condition of the follicles is assessed, and the precise number of grafts is calculated. The treatment area is cleansed, and then a local anaesthetic is administered. The first hours after the procedure Cold compresses help prevent swelling. Painkillers and antibiotics are taken as prescribed by the doctor. Minor bleeding, swelling, pain and bruising may occur.
