What are implant-supported dentures and who are they suitable for?

These are dentures secured on two or more implants using snaps, locators, or a bar. We particularly recommend them to patients whose removable complete denture shifts, pinches, or falls out, especially in the lower jaw, where keeping a denture in place is most difficult. Just two implants can completely transform the comfort of daily life.

How treatment works at Mabel Clinic

We plan the treatment digitally based on tomography, determining the number of implants and the type of attachment. Following the insertion of the implants under local anaesthetic and the period of osseointegration, we create a new denture or adapt the existing one by fitting the retaining elements into it. The denture clips onto the implants securely and stably, and the patient can remove it themselves for hygiene.

A denture on implants stays securely in place without adhesives, allowing you to chew freely and speak clearly. In the upper jaw, we can often reduce the palatal plate, which improves the perception of taste and food temperature. Additionally, implants slow down bone loss.
