How a prosthesis is made at Mabel Clinic

The treatment involves several visits: taking precise impressions, determining the bite height, a trial of the denture in wax (during which we assess the alignment and colour of the teeth), and finally delivering the finished work. At each stage, there is room for adjustments so that the final result is fully accepted. After delivery, we invite you for adjustment visits to eliminate any potential pressure points.

Getting used to a new denture usually takes from a few days to a few weeks: initially, it is worth eating smaller bites and practising speech by reading aloud. The denture should be cleaned daily outside the mouth, using a soft brush and products designed for this purpose. Regular check-ups allow the denture to be adjusted to the changing tissues on an ongoing basis.
